Getting Started

Can I get a free trial?

Yes, you can sign up for your free trial Forex VPS. We stop the trial VPS after 3 days automatically. You can upgrade your VPS to a regular plan in that period or order a new VPS after the trial period. To access the free Forex VPS sign up here.

Is there any setup or configuration required?

No. Our trading VPS systems are delivered ready-to-go. You will be emailed all the information you need to access your VPS immediately. All you will need to do is log in to your MT4 account, or download and install other software you would like to use.

Will DigitalForex support help to install Metatrader?

Yes. Our Forex VPS plans include full service, and we will be happy to assist you with all requests.

How long does it take for setting up my VPS so that I can get access to it?

We activate every order instantly and automatically. You will receive the Welcome Email (which contains your IP and access details) within 30 minutes.

Where will my Forex VPS be located?

We offer a variety of trader’s friendly location. Our data centers are in New York, London, Frankfurt, Paris, Amsterdam, Sydney, Singapore and Tokyo. You can select the location during the order process.

Can I use DigitalForex VPS with any broker and trading robot?

Yes, DigitalForex VPS is compatible with all Forex brokers. You can install all kind of Forex trading tools on your VPS. We recommend you our Forex tools add-on which allows you to get access to all downloadable Forex tools posted on our website.

Which location should I select?

It depends on the location of your Forex broker. You should select a location a low ping (latency) between your VPS and your Forex broker. Click here to check the latency.

Which brokers does this service work with?

All of them. Our service is broker independent, and is engineered to provide the best possible connection to all brokers. To check our network connection to your broker, please view theForex Broker Latency page.

What is the difference between a dedicated server and a virtual private server?

The virtual edition will throttle back heavy CPU usage and also shares a network port with other VE's. The dedicated edition has dual dedicated CPU cores, dedicated RAM and a dedicated Internet port. The dedicated edition is designed for extremely active traders.

How to properly disconnect from your Forex VPS?

If you want to leave your programs running on your Forex VPS then you just need to disconnect from RDP session, not logging of from the server – as that would result in shutting down your trading platforms, such as MetaTrader and others. If you are running your RDP session in fullscreen mode then you should see blue bar menu on the top.Click on theXsign and then click OK.

How to download the Forex tools from DigitalForex?

You need a VPS plan with the Forex tools addon in order to download the tools from our website.

Do the Forex tools work on my home PC?

No, the Forex tools work on your DigitalForex VPS only. They will not work on your home PC or on any other VPS.

Are all Forex tools up to date?

We are trying to do update all Forex tools regularly. If an update is missing please contact us.

How to get support if I have problems with a Forex tool?

Just open a support ticket in your client area.

Technical Questions

How to install custom trading software on my Forex VPS?

Installing programs on your Forex VPS is exactly like installing them on a normal PC running Windows. Simply use the pre-installed web browsers (Chrome or Internet Explorer), to navigate to the software download, then run the .exe or install file, and follow the prompts to install the software. All default settings and locations will be appropriate.

I need to use a specific application. Can I do that?

Yes. Our service is not exclusive to forex trading and can be used with any regular Windows application, as well as all types of trading, all brokers, and all software platforms. We deploy each VPS with an isolated installation of Windows Server 2012 or 2016 which looks and responds just like a normal PC. You can launch Chrome or FireFox to browse the internet, access email, etc., and download any applications that you might need. Of course, if you would like help installing any software that is not pre-included, we will be happy to assist. Simply open a support ticket to request assistance with anything.

Will slippage be reduced by using a VPS?

Yes, absolutely. We cannot guarantee the complete elimination of slippage, as there are some factors outside of our control, however we hope to offer a service that significantly reduces slippage. You can expect faster and more accurate fills when trading with our Forex VPS.

Is my VPS safe from viruses?

It's only as safe as you are. It is just like any other Windows computer. Obviously, if you download and install a virus then you will infect your VE (virtual environment). We offer a free virus scanner to help you scan your files. As part of our normal system management, we can also find most malware running in your VE and help you to fix it.

Do you block any ports on my VPS?

We block several ports that are commonly abused for DDoS attacks:

  • TCP & UDP port 17
  • TCP & UDP port 19
  • TCP & UDP port 1900
  • UDP port 53413
  • UDP port 11211

These blocks are permanent, and cannot be removed.

The following ports may be blocked, depending on your account:

  • TCP port 25 (SMTP)
  • TCP & UDP port 137
  • TCP & UDP port 138
  • TCP & UDP port 139
  • TCP & UDP port 445

You may ask ro remove these blocks by opening a support ticket.

How do I enable Windows Audio on my Forex VPS?

Note: This guide will work for Windows 2012 R2 and Windows 2016 instances.

Windows Servers, by default, do not have the “Windows Audio” service enabled.

First, RDP into your Windows instance.

Then, open the “Run” window by pressing WIN + R and enter the following:


Next, find the service labeled “Windows Audio”, and double-click on it.

The Windows audio properties dialog will pop-up. Find the “Startup type” drop down, and select “Automatic”.

Under the “Service status” section, click the start button to start the service.

That's it! You have now enabled Windows Audio and it will startup every time the server restarts.

Account & Billing Questions

What form of payments do you accept?

We accept PayPal, Credit/Debit Cards and Bitcoins payments. If you overpay, we apply a creditto your account; this allows you to prepay if desired. Account credit is always used before charging other type of payments for ongoing service (if there is no active PayPal subscription).

Can I change my account email?

We're sorry, but you cannot change your email that has been registered to our system for security reason, if you want to change your email, you have to create and register a new one.

Can I enter and use fake name and addresses to order?

Eventough you could bypass our order verification process, but we do not recommend you to use any invalid identification. Please be aware: For security purposes, on some emergency inquiries or support over your active services later on, we may ask for your valid and current personal data, that should match to our databases.

How to top up my credits?

In purpose to tiop up your credit, you may login to your Client Area > Billing > Add Funds > enter the amounts that you want to top up, then click “Add Funds”.

Are there any fees for late payments?

You must pay all invoices within three (3) days of the invoice due date. For any invoice that is outstanding for more than three (3) days, we apply a late fee amount of 10%. Please note that late payments may result in the suspension and termination of services. We do not restore access to the account until payment has been received. If you fail to pay the fees as specified here, DigitalForex may suspend your account after four (4) days and stop your account after seven (7) days. DigitalForex will not activate new orders or activate new packages for customers who have an outstanding balance on their account.
